This is a composite of some of my most successful artwork, from my early days as an artist. I’ve been very lucky in the commissions that have come my way and the many techniques and styles I have developed. The work you see was not produced quickly or easily, as my day to day job was as a school teacher in Glasgow. Generally speaking, I only took on one or two commissions a year, but I continually kept an interest in learning new skills so as to be a better teacher and mentor for the children in my care. Being enthusiastic about ones subject, for me, was paramount to being a teacher. This is only one aspect of my work, and later, I will post a gallery, like this of most of my work, i.e., portraiture, photography, and illustration.
